Farage is a cruel, petty man, serving the need of cruel, petty people to make people they have never met suffer because of things they read online. (Note: I don’t mean his voters, or at least not all of them).

Constructive dismissal ?
Also local politicians are not permitted to fire people directly. The Head of Paid Service can cut a team or discipline a member of staff for cause (or even ease someone out with a payoff, though less so these days) but equality duties are put on local authorities by central government.
I am sure he will bully senior officers to find a process. It’s obvious he doesn’t want a fair society. And it’s most likely he has interests in big oil. For me, this issue is twofold: 1) Nigel thinks about himself and has no empathy. 2) Reform have no detailed policy. Crap politics…..
I only want to see his sorrows drowned in a vanilla milkshake.
This reminds me of the current case of Pieter De Crem, nationalist mayor of Aalter, whose services had an informal policy of sitting on requests from those from non-Belgian backgrounds. The government forced him to stop discriminating. This would also happen in the UK, under Equalities Act.

There are several reliable articles in English on this Aalter scandal on www.vrt.be/vrtnws/en/se...
Thanks, I always forget to check VRT English.
On a more positive note, I’m very keen for him to keep using Trumpian language because he does absolutely want the same chaos as Trump is causing in the US and he needs to be tied to its consequences by hands, neck and feet.
