Yeah. The story mentions that. There have been some big pushes in Chicago for swimming in the river. Maybe this year? Chicago River Swim share.google/XRMCnv0t4sQX...

I am not going to feel comfortable swimming in the Chicago River in a million years, I'm sorry. 😂 Will love to see levels of pollution get better and for the ecosystem to improve though.
😄 I hear you. The beach at Bubbly Creek does have a nice ring to it though!
I just don't feel like the river is any worse than the lake at this point and I swim there. I'd do it!
Isn't that the name of a whole housing development in Bridgeport? The ones with the flawed structures that had to have braces installed in between the houses to keep them from toppling over?
There were some issues with some of the fancy homes over by the river but I didn't hear about bracing. I don't know about a place with that name but it could be!
Oops, sorry, that's "Bridgeport Village" www.rismedia.com/2007/06/04/r...
Fucking Balcer! A legacy of shit that will never end. Not this development but there's one north of Archer off Lock that has similar issues from lack of oversight. Had some friends who rented a place there and the closet doors in their house opened the wrong way.
Oh man. I live in an apartment with all kinds of quirks affecting doors, but that is just too much.
I remember waking by some folks working on one house and just said a friendly "looking good" and got, "no, it's a piece of shit," in return. There's weird shit with the water too. Not every house has its own meter but the company that was supposed to take care of that went bankrupt so ????
Yikes
Good lord, what a shit show
😆 🤣 yup That area feels so out of place. The Riverwalk is nicely landscaped though.
