That's not how state funding works. It's not a zero sum game. Funding one hospital doesn't necessarily mean taking funds from another one. Adopting a scarcity outlook and an us vs them mentality doesn't help anyone, though it may feel good to you.

I know that rural hospitals get an extra percentage from CMC. I also know that states can provide grants & sweep funds. It's not necessarily sustainable long term, but to blanket say fuck you to people who live outside of cities is fucked up. You keep talking abt urban/rural like they are monoliths.

Doesn’t matter if they are monoliths or not. Like if the choice is between me in an urban area and a Harris voter who lives in a rural area I’m picking me. The funding comes more from urban areas, and rural areas cost more. It’s smarter to fund urban areas that by and large didn’t vote for this

As I’ve said multiple times, I’d love to fund all the hospitals, but it is now no longer an option due to the way these people voted. Like you want the consequences of their actions to affect me and my neighbors but be very far away from the people who actually voted for it
