I think Hannah has it in her to be a good governor, and I'm very glad she's involved with state government one way or another. She hasn't been very visible to the public since she left the state senate. But I think Troy has the best chance of winning. Plus he speaks to my heart.

Aroostook Country could care less… it’s the Alabama of the state. They just want to have guns and own the libs. They will all be dead and gone before they have a clue. Thankfully there’s a larger contingency of thinking people outside of Norther Maine.

This whole “libs don’t own guns” thing is so weird. Every Democrat I know owns guns. Most don’t even want them illegal, they just want people who are mentally ill and may be suicidal (or homicidal) to not get them, but more than that, they want free accessible mental healthcare!

They want their guns and to own the libs. I’m pretty sure 75% of the libs up here own guns. But we are also much less likely to hoard them because the dems are gonna take them away. After the mass shooting in Lewiston a few years ago you think there would be some reforms, but no.

The thing is, if they’re so concerned about the second amendment, fine, let’s not start there. Let’s start with things like education in conflict resolution and weapons safety with free access to mental health services, data says that would work better anyway, but the GOP wants us sick and dying.

That’s why they continue offering nothing but thoughts and prayers. Either what’s happening in the government right now, I am glad we do have the 2nd amendment! Something needs to be done about the health and poverty crises that the violence is a symptom of but Republicans simply don’t care about us
