You can also freeze mirabelle plums. To do this, remove the stones, pre-freeze them individually (without touching) on a tray or similar, and then finish freezing in a vacuum bag.

I just learned that it is apparently illegal to import Mirabelle plums to the US. Sigh. I want to add that I have not had even ONE good peach this summer.
All my apples were rotten. It wasn't the weather. I've had this garden for two years, and I'm currently learning more about caterpillars and moths than about the plants. 🤪 ps: you can buy seeds. Must be very patient then. 🙂
Good point about seeds, and sorry about the apples. They are challenging to grow without pesticides.
