And Biden, even that late, was way more popular than Harris, with many people thinking she had plotted a coup. If she had come out opposed to his Israel policies, AIPAC would have had more than enough ammo to tank her.

Because I'm a member/officer of my local county party, I get to vote on representation to the DNC. You could, too. You could even run to attend the convention and vote directly on proposals like this. But that would take more work than complaining from the sidelines.

I don't think trump thinks killing Palestinians will bring about the second coming. I think, like the rest of the people in government that are actually in control, he thinks that israel is in a strategically advantageous location for US interests.
