But then how would the 1 percent make a profit?

Think of all those poor shareholders and executives at health insurance companies who will have to forgo buying a new airplane or yacht this year!

Because it was never about protecting our money or health, but about separating us from our money at the expense of our health.

Profits for the 1% would evaporate.

But who would employ the insurance executives and lobbyists? What could replace the Dark monies used to protect us from socialism?

Yes yes yes. That’s the main reason most countries have universal health care.

But that's $450 billion that goes straight into the pockets of health insurance companies, pharmacy benefits managers drug manufacturers, and indirectly to all of their lobbyists, so it's probably a non-starter... until there are bigger changes in how the US works.

Rather than to demean and dehumanize our citizens as Elon Musk would have us do, it does seem vastly cost efficient to have food, shelter, and medical care for all citizens. Even better, rather than give work to AI that will require vast amounts of energy to operate and steal our data from sites.

Also because poors won’t join the army if they get healthcare and an education so then who will die for rich oil men?

Me too. Unfortunately, they were operating on a play it safe/maintain the status quo strategy. So, calling for universal healthcare (UH) would have been seen as a liability.

You are asking the wrong question. The belief that "they" need to give us permission for basic human rights, that they need to "give it to us" is why we are in this position. We should be TAKING, without asking permission. Revolutions aren't polite.

But why would I agree to a system where I pay less and we all get better outcomes when I could pay into a system that gives the same if not worse outcomes at a significantly higher cost? Hasn't anyone thought about how important it is to make the rich richer? It's so unfair to them.

Is this report published and available to read? I would like to see some assumptions around the pay out levels. We know that rural hospitals and Drs dependent upon Medicare find the payment levels extremely low and unsustainable.

The “pro life” party means kids shot up in schools, people shot up in malls, theaters, festivals, concerts and parades, skyrocketing maternal deaths, skyrocketing post birth baby deaths, and sky rocketing deaths from poor, inadequate and underfunded health care. It also means starving kids.
