I have a confession to make. Trump has brought out the worst in me. Hoping for another person's demise? Hating? It's not who I am. Everything about him stirs up a level of utter contempt in me.

nah. I've been like this since I was a child. even if it was far more simplistic. "if you dont punish bad people, they keep doing bad things. even the other kids. they hurt me. words dont stop. nothing does. except for a rock to the head." I learned this lesson when I was 6.

I suspect a lot of people (and know for sure in my case) have the same confession. Is it really awful to hope, or not be upset that the cause of misery and pain and death for millions of people, other living beings, and the earth itself goes away, though?

I keep thinking I can't hate him more than I already do, but then he goes & proves me wrong. I keep telling myself to hate the sin, not the sinner, so to speak, but it's so hard when he's putting the lives of so many people, including people I love most, in jeopardy.
