The Irish Independent don't seem to mention in their headlines that the trans activist was a teenage girl. The Irish press seems to be downplaying his crime due to its own transphobia. If it was a cis gendered girl instead of a transgender girl he assaulted and harassed, it be treated differently.
Minor point in the wider issue but why is the Irish Independent saying "come back to" in reference to Britain, rather than "go back to?"
Because he's lived there since the 80s and currently having a stint in the states?
But the Irish Independent *isn't* based in the UK. Yet it's headline of "come back to Britain" suggests it is. It's a signifier of how they're just dripping in poison from the British transphobes rather than genuinely representing the Irish viewpoint.
More like they're paraphrasing id say. He's a west brit like
He may never come back to Britain? ππΌππΌππΌ
