Data centres are functionally meat packing plants for draining the economy. Like bitcoin, they fill a demand that they create but have no tangible social benefits.

So trustworthy- strange bedfellows, sponsors and supporters. I also found concerns that the HRF targets leftist Govts in deference to rightist Govts but who knows. Absolutely no tangible social benefit that brings gentrification and socioeconomic disaster for people who USED TO live in the area. That's true of alt power projects like wind and solar farms in rural areas

I’d need to see studies on wind and solar in rural areas. In a Aust there are definitely people rurally making a few dollars from wind turbines.

Heres one example... these projects create lots of truck traffic and the people driving many of them (technicians and mantainance... managers) make quite a bit more money than the locals. Non-property owning locals get priced out of housing and leave...
