The former group has not shown it is able to overcome the latter on a regular basis when the latter shows up and the former does not have the law on its side.

Impeached 2x - nothing Convicted of felonies - nothing Fined $475K for fraud - reversed 4 Indictments - nothing (yet?) There is much much more. It's not wizardry, it's the virtual omnipotence of the Presidency coupled with a compliant congress, electorate and SCOTUS.

He was acquitted on both impeachments. Not that that isnt a "wrong" but impeachments arent a magical "youre impeached step down" thing either. These same systems that let him play above the standard rules are the same limits to his power. Laws and declarations arent magic
