Yeah, very true. It’s part of why ridiculous BS like “horseshoe theory” sounds right to liberals, since they’re catching shit from both the right AND the left, and they’re not self-aware enough to grasp that it’s because they deserve it, so they just assume we’re all on the same side.

And it’s infuriating for many reasons, not the least of which being that liberals are convinced they’re on the left while acting like they’re on the right, which makes their smug superiority even further laughable. Hate ‘em almost as much as I hate the fascists.
