Was it tasty? 😁
Was it tasty? 😁
I have 23 in my backyard..need to relocate them.
It's not a snowbird?
That's a free range rooster.
It’s a hen. I have birds. Poor lady probably misses her coop
I have chickens too. I was only kidding.
Since it’s in Tampa it’s likely a wild chicken that doesn’t have a coop, there are a ton of wild chickens all over the city that just kind of do their own thing.
Maybe she's just vacationing from Key West
Time to cancel my Florida trip #boycottFlorida #noconcentrationcamps
Aye, putting people in battery cages is a bad sign, roasting them too [if you had a weather forecasting service].
They do well if there aren't animals trying to eat them (red fox and bald eagles here)
My mother raised me free range. The Italians call it “poli ruspante”. It translates to the chickens are responsible.
Found this little lady in a public park while walking my pooch; I live in a city just outside Boston, MA.
Looks like a Gold Star potentially. Great egg layers, but I've found the breed to be a little... stupid 🐔🤣
Imagine seeing a boneless chicken? What would that look like? 👀
Nice bird
I love that there are free range chickens there! I saw this hen with her chicks (hidden among the plants) on my visit to Tampa last year.
I use to have some too. Give it up for piece of shit dog owners that let their dogs roam freely all over town killing everything.
Happy hen
She is quite the specimen and has quite a nice poofy saddle hahaha
FYI, I mostly said that because I wish I could reach through and scruffle the fluff The saddle is probably so soft and she would get so excited! (If friend) Not because I’m a rooster that got ahold of a bsky account… Or am I… hmmm I do like to scream at random moments 🧐
Also for anyone without the tiny dinosaurs, the saddle is the poofy bit right in front of the tail. I think anyways, it’s what I call it
Near Ybor?
❤️❤️❤️ This looks like my chicken.
Mine
I think we have two running around in our neighborhood and the folks across the street get free eggs. The semi-feral kitties around here get free kibble and the raccoons also leave the chickens alone. No idea why.
My dog would’ve went crazy seeing a chicken in the wild 😂
Just complementing the scenery
Feral Fowlcett, won't be couped up or kept down, but keeps on clucking on, from lawn to lawn.
Did you apologize?
Now that's important. It verifies that there truly are chickens ranging freely.
Are the free range ones better tasting? 🙂
Wow massive chicken!
😊 I ❤️ chickens. They crack me up! 🐓🐣🐔🐓
There are a lot of free-range chickens in Mexico.
Saw one in East Austin while driving. It was faster than most pedestrians crossing the street, I'll tell ya that.
Livin the dream! 💖🥹
Lots in ybor city!
Might be a wild chicken ... did it come when you called to it?
Buc Buc Bucaneer?
Haha go to Key West!
I see them everyday on my walks. Lots of babies running around right now. The chicks actually play dead when they are afraid. My dog scares them.
🤣
You weren’t driving a car when you ran into the chicken were you? Asking for a friend.
10,000 steps
Chickens are great ❤️
Very sad. Has been bred for countless generations to lay extreme amounts of eggs. Takes a huge toll on its body no matter what, a life full of suffering. Recently I saw some wild junglefowl. Quite a different animal, not bred for generations into the kind of monstrosity seen in that image.
A beautiful girl....
I love chicken
Was she muttering under her breath about not being able to find any goddam help?
She has errands to run. 🧡
Chick, Chick, Chick-on!!
It looks well fed.
Probably headed north to cool off
Florida is weird. There are wild petcocks roaming downtown Fort Lauderdale.
"Wild" peacocks are all over the place and they are NOT particularly wild, they will walk right up to you hoping you will feed them.
Did it cross the road?
But why? No one will ever know.
😂
