It is a pity there aren't more examples of their work in York. This building is a fine landmark. The front of the shop building is very restrained in comparison to the Coppergate facade but the latter is more visible from approaching streets.

I'll pay it a visit next time I'm in York. I'm amazed at how many places I recognise without reading the caption.
