A 66 year old clerk at my local grocery store told me she returned to work because her daughter, a single working parent, lost her SNAP and couldn't pay rent and feed the kids. That woman works to feed her children.

Food Stamps (SNAP) were introduced in order to make use of agricultural and dairy SURPLUSES. Students and seniors got big blocks of cheddar cheese. These mean spirited economies , like cutting off USAID, have consequences that thoughtless sadists can’t predict.
