But you can pry my late night quiet work hours from my cold dead hands.

Yeah I mean sometimes I knock out some stuff at night so I can sleep in or have a super chill morning the next day (e.g. squeeze in a video game sesh before my first meeting)

Exactly! Plus I sleep wayyyyyy better if I clear some review backlog or something (me currently churning through 10 manuscripts in my editor's docket....)

Science/research doesn't really get acknowledged for the creative thought required... Can you tell artists and writers "you must produce x, y, z within these hours"? Some can do this, but for so much of it, you can't force it.

🫡 I never got why it was super important for everyone in the world to have their preferred work hours... except for me.
