I think its pretty obvious that there's a difference between the more subtle Richard III fourth wall breaks and a direct and open and very hammy America-centric reference to Trump when Italy itself is governed by a neo-fascist government right now.

Not only is it out of tune with the tone of the satire the show is going for, its also very artistically misplaced in being directly polemical
