The electorate made it clear they didnt want Trump / Pence part 2 but look at 4 years later. There will be a primary and the best person will win. No need to spectate this early each candidate will have a chance since there in no incumbent

The primary doesn't really matter to any decent person. Will I have preferences? Of course! But I'll be happy to vote for whoever the Dem nominee is in order to keep Trump out of a 3rd term. Or whatever equally as evil but likely not as stupid candidate they roll out there.
