Just got to pay $270 for plumbing, and now I'm thinking about all the folks that don't have that cash lying around. We are about to be living in such a ghetto ass third world country. People are seriously gonna be like "Oh, a storm took out that window, so we just taped it up and hung a blanket."🥺
We just paid $16,000 for a new roof + solar panel removal/reinstall. Took out our savings, mostly, but we’re hopefully good for the rest of our lives, touch wood. I’ve known for thirty years that if the government gave us each $10,000 per year of our money back, we would spend it on things we need.
Or, indeed, just gave us each $10,000 per year free and clear. Or, simply just an annual grant of $20,000 per couple, plus $10,000 per child. History suggests that the economy would boom like the 1950s, "lifting all boats". The greedos wont allow it, of course.

Even if we don't need a new roof we'd love to have nicer glasses, new jeans, fix our windshield, just actually take the wife out for a really nice dinner... It would IMMEDIATELY gas up the economy. That same DAY.
Whereas, if you give it to people for whom that’s just pocket change, it simply vanished into the investment house stratosphere and we never, ever see it. It actually depresses the economy.

It would be simpler to declare them outlaws and confiscate all their family wealth that we can reach. I'm somewhat undecided about the French Solution at this point, but I'm willing to consider it for those who have done so much to actively kill the rest of us.
