Perhaps in some cases, but physically and technically transitioning a very large industrial operation to gas from coal is much, much easier… It’s right that it must be done and you are right that it must be done soon…however there’s no doubt that ending fossil fuel today would collapse the economy

Yes, there is a big difference between cutting off all use of fossil fuels today versus transitioning.

I agree, the question is how do we balance it with maintaining our social safety net and public services while we transition… Most people opposed to fossil fuels, like me, ignore the economic reality and while I sympathize with them, I cannot ignore it.. It’s very much a rock and a hard place…

Yes this is a great. The Liberals announced funding for transitioning steel from coal to electric arc technology a few years back and it’s coming to fruition … it’s a great deal and will be part of Canada’s transition I believe we will see more major green energy projects like this soon…

Hard to be optimistic these days…I just think we should give the PM the reins and see what he can deliver… …we are in a crisis situation economically.
