But I can almost guarantee that if the perpetrators were 5 Indigenous, black, Indian or dark skinned men they would be in prison right now.

I think public outrage would be a factor. Can you imagine if 5 black guys on the team did this to a white woman? People would be crying for the return of capital punishment.
I don’t believe that this Judge reached her verdict with any political consideration…what would that be? I think she weighed the evidence and followed the law… I would probably not use the top American court as a case in point for Canada’s judiciary. Cheers
