If this was truly empowering for the individual like Estonia, I would be in favour. But with our governments it would be another IT fiasco where the taxpayer gets stung by the private sector like COVID apps or MyGov accounts here in Scotland. This is really me and my opinion.

Beyond an IT fiasco, or incompetence/nuisance it may cause… it is grossly intrusive! Police shouldn’t know medical records, nor GP know criminal records… Why should Data Tech Corporations in charge of a system have a right to ‘Know’ me, at the touch of a button? We have a human right to privacy!

These records already exist but you would know the name of the police officer that accessed your medical records and this doctor that had nothing better to do than look at your criminal record. But the UK wouldn't adopt anything that empowers the citizen.
