of whether I agree with what you say your religion motivates you to do. I need you to be enthusiastically pro-lgbt, pro-trans healthcare, supporting trans youth, and pro choice. There's a higher standard of scrutiny that needs applying.

Do you think Roy Cooper is anti lgbtq????
I don't know anything about Roy Cooper so I'd need to look. There are plenty of pro-lgbt religious folks out there! The point is I want to check. I'm not going to jump to a conclusion either way until I know. People get the benefit of the doubt but I'll have questions before someone gets support
Then check? He vetoed three anti lgbtq laws. He’s an extremely popular governor of a state we have to win if we want to regain the senate
Becky, genuine question: did I accidentally wander into a discussion about him? Because I haven't mentioned him and thought we were talking in general about religion and politics. As for what you said: that sort of action is what we need, and for my part, preferred to words.
My impression of all religion in politics related posts today is that they came off the heels of Roy Cooper saying he prayed about it and is going to enter the North Carolina senate race. No one in this thread mentioned it specifically but it has been what prompted most posts today
Thank you. I had no idea that that had happened. I will say that a lot of the posts that are happening then, are one person responds to the situation, and then the rest of us have no idea about the situation. With what little I have been able to google I have zero problems with Roy Cooper's faith.
Don't worry, it is a common mistake. We've successfully managed to nationalize politics at every level, so people continuously say things that are completely divorced from context.
I'll look into him when I have time because just based on what you've told me I already like him a hell of a lot more than Gavin from Cali. I prefer not being talked about by allies, because they make lots of mistakes that accidentally hurt us. Better that allies act in our defense and let us speak.
So if he's not talking nonsense but then acting on our behalf? That's pretty damned close to the gold standard. But I have to check for myself one, and I don't have time now. And two, I didn't realize this was about him if indeed it is about him.
