Hyperspace to Diso, especially at the start of the game, was always a Really Bad Idea.

Absolutely, the game was so unforgiving. Lave to Zaonce is the best route. Though 11 year old me, even with the C64 box set, had no idea what the hell an agricultural world was, so no money gained.
