because you've never been through a dictatorship. in Brasil, our Constitution from 1988, instated after a military coup and 21 years of dictatorship, clearly defines the attempt to overthrow democracy as a crime. US takes democracy for granted because no one ever took it from you.

Same with South Korea. Maybe Americans need fascism to learn the stove is hot and 🔥 bad.

About half are embracing the fascism though. It’s going to be a while. We need another civil war or pandemic to thin the herd.

I feel for them, I don't think any society should go through this. But I am baffled when I see them talk about Doge, eg, from a mere economic or data security perspective, when it is very clearly the first step to any dictatorship: dismantle the State.
