I was with you until the hashtag... All pets were wild at one point lol
Past & present are separated by evolution. Wolves are wild animals & should not be pets. Nor should servals, caricals, mountain lions, bobcats, hedgehogs, tigers, lions, bears the list goes on & on
If one has the means to acquire them ethically and take care of them properly, why shouldn't they be able to?
Nope
That's not a reason.
There is no ethical way to acquire a wild animal for use as a pet. They should be wild in their natural habitat.
That's just not true, but ok
List 3
There's really only one, rescue.
I work in wildlife rescue & rehab. Most animals that have been imprinted on humans are euthanized. Its the law. Unless you can show reason for an animal to live out its life in captivity F & W require euthanasia. Therefore, keeping any imprinted animals becomes unethical as they can't be rehabed..
You're confusing legality and morality.
It always works out badly for the animal. I could tell you some really sad stories. People are unreliable.
