Did you watch the presentation and discussion about Marlin Meadows at the M.H.Z.C.? Did you read the staff report? Did you watch the presentation & discussion at the Planning Commission? Does it bother you that the only voice against this overlay came from a developer? What is the bad precedent?
the only voice against this overlay did not come from a developer. I was against it, and I know other people who were. but we have jobs, and we don’t have the time to schlep to every meeting where homeowners try to kill new homes
I also don’t really understand the impulse to divert a post about literal fascism to a complaint about a lack of support for exclusionary zoning, but I respect the grind
The only voice on the Planning & Historic Zoning Commissions was from a developer. C.M. Sepulveda may have many NO votes in her future, depending when the other commissions are to be renewed.
I just want to put up the jusctapostion of Sepulvada's post on a senator being arrested by DHS and the comments on MHZC. Whatever my, your, or Ben's thoughts on zoning, it's inappropriate here. Don't do this.

While not agreeing for a second with C.M. Benton's ignorant and bigoted remarks at the Ogles thing, C.M.Sepulveda is virtue signalling here. The treatment of Comptroller Lander was horrific, but Benton's resignation will not change anything. His own foot has disempowered him already.
good. I hope we significantly overhaul MHZC, because the fruits of its labor are not compatible with our city’s progressive goals and values
The Planning Commission voted for the Historic Overlay of Marlin Meadows: seven for, one (the developer) against. According to the Sepulveda criterion, all seven should not have their commissions renewed.

This is the last I will say about this. I did not lobby my colleagues to vote no on this commissioner but I had A NUMBER of them come up to me after. If I were on this commission, I would be reflecting on my position before coming back to rules. Rules is not a pass through anymore.
