I'm old enough to remember when just-in-time (JIT) inventory became the darling new trend. The Japanese corps who pioneered JIT *always* adjusted JIT based on supply uncertainty, whereas US companies applied it across the board. We had a lesson in fragility during COVID, a lesson not learned.
I was trying to think of the name of our type of supply chain. Thanks.
