I would have thought that’sto be Chief Justice of the Supreme Court one would at least have to get beyond Piaget’s concrete operational stage. Roberts proves it isn’t so; he really does seem to have a blind spot when it comes to abstract thought. Poor man! He has rigor mortis of the brain.

My personal beef is how long I believed that to get a higher-level government position you had to have some education. All these folks running the show right now are dumber than bags of sawdust.

I suspected it might all be a fraud when the GOP chose Trump, a guy with no experience of elected office, for the presidency. Kind of like a job posting: wanted, chairman of neurosurgery dept. at Mass. General—no medical experience necessary. And so now here we are.

Me too. I went through med school, residency, took boards, had to keep up my continuing med education. It was rigorous & I thought necessary to give me the expertise needed to care for the patients who entrusted their care to me. I needn’t have bothered. Horse pills would have been fine apparently.
