There’s a reason they retire so early. Keeping them on isn’t good for their health and certainly isn’t good for the lives of passengers.

yes. ‘retirement’ isn’t the issue. while the focus goes to this deliberate ‘dog whistle’ it takes the focus away from the obvious incompetence of the department.
