Yeah, I'm really not convinced that "You gotta want it more" is really the path forward. I think this last election made pretty clear a lot of people don't actually vote on the historical records of actual success.

My opinion (which could easily be wrong) is that Ds need to quit the infighting and coalesce around candidates. (Criticism can and should happen during primaries and after, but not during elections.) Whatever D is on the ticket, people need to get fucking excited and rally behind them. Full stop.

I wasn’t endorsing will to power as a solution, I was level setting. Republicans have more messaging flexibility because they own a death cult. I have very little idea HOW we get the Democrats to coalesce in the same way, which is the primary obstacle I see to that strategy.

I think recent History shows that to narrowly defeat Evil you need an exceptionally charismatic figure. That doesn’t last anyway…

I really don’t know anymore… good results, enthusiasm, curriculum, BEAUTY, I don’t even mention ethic, a clean criminal record and a brain, nothing seems to work. Of course not eating yours own should be the basis.
