And that is what’s problematic. As an SAT proctor, the test has changed several times the last 25 yrs. Impossible to compare scores from disparate testing designs

I get that. Point is that it’s difficult to compare test scores when the test changes every few years (you noted the first years of the essay portion being included). I didn’t have that. So is my score fairly compared to yours? No, and I wholly agree with why would anyone give a fuck after age 20?

My understanding is that for the article they looked at the scores that would’ve been average admitted at the time.
