Has anyone covered whether the individual federal agents in Anacostia, Congress Heights, etc vs those putzing around arresting people on U St for smoking weed are the same units? Are the individual agents rolling up on public housing the same ones patrolling U St, or are they assigned a region?
Is this a DC specific issue or is this something that should be of concern in other cities? Like I don’t anticipate park police in chi but the other terrorist alphabet groups may descend upon us.

Good questions… tracking them could be helpful for counter tactics, disrupting, goose chases, tow truck haul offs, etc.
The masking certainly makes this harder to figure out…
Many aren’t masked, and even among the ones who are, they are recognizable as the same person across day.

Not asking where the NG or DEA or ATF is -- I know that. Basically asking if they are specifically sending certain individual agents downtown, and others eotr.
Like, John and Jack both work for ATF and are assigned to be part of the federal takeover. Is John always helping MPD arrest people for minor infractions on 14th Street, while Jack is always harassing people on Good Hope, or do they just go wherever?
