Do you have any sense of why they would lie about this when it is something they are allowed to do? I'm completely baffled.

MPD stressed working hard to build local relationships/ trust & maintain them, so perhaps to try to put some distance between themselves & federal folks? maybe he meant national guard instead but thats not my memory. The councilman or neighborhood advocacy commission might have recordings.

Oh I have a recording of one of them. Which is enough. I just cannot for the life of me understand why they’re lying since the eo says they can do it. Suddenly I have every incentive to chase them around getting in MPD vehicles because the footage is more valuable.
