Oh please, the world is not as black and white as you picture it.
Oh please, the world is not as black and white as you picture it.
Trans people are dying because of her actions and lies, and so many more will perish. Just admit that your entertainment is worth more to you than people’s lives.
She literally took a "evil person in a movie" picture to celebrate the loss of trans rights. It's pretty black and fucking white.
Rowling is using her money to try to hurt trans people, and she has already used it to influence UK law. It's pretty fuckin' black and white to actively side with her.
There's a reason i call her the Hitler of Trans people.
Hitler was the Hitler of trans people. That´s the point JK missed. She´s a Hitler of trans people, walking hand in hand with the Hitler of all people, giggling as she agrees with him enthusiastically.
She's personally funding the removal of my rights Yes, sometimes it fucking is
Some things are not complicated and complicity in transphobia is one of them.
I wouldnt buy a painting that Adolph Hitler painted, We dont patronize JK Rowling.
In this instance, it is
Even Chris Columbus disagrees with you in this. It IS that simple www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...
This particular issue is very black and white actually
Actually, in this case it really is. She's transphobic, and is using the royalties of this to push an agenda that claims to be for women but is actually causing them more harm.
It actually is often that simple. When you take a paycheck from someone who outright says working for her and all profits makes are in support of her bigotry, then it becomes painfully black and white
Shut up. You’re full of shit gas lighter
“The world”? No. Transphobia? Yes.
shut da fuck up
JKR has repeatedly said that she’s using the money from this adaptation to fund anti-trans activism, be it financing political influence or paying for legal challenges. That, surely, is pretty black and white? If you need the money, of course you must do it. The problem is those who don’t need it.
And even if you do need the money, it’s not an ‘of course you should do it’. Comes down to integrity. Doing the right thing even if it causes you difficulty, inconvenience or discomfort. Priceless to be able to look at yourself in the mirror with clear conscience that you haven’t shat on a minority.
I think it depends on the degree of discomfort. I have a trans friend who’s accepted a part in it. She’d not worked for over a year and was about to lose her house. She despises the very name of JKR, but should she make herself homeless rather than accept the job? Easy for us to say ‘yes!’.
Transphobia not being a dealbreaker is very telling, friend.
Transphobia is a pretty black and white issue. Either you support trans people, or you can go get fucked.
