Stupid or not, it can't be denied - & I never said it would be me, btw. Cool assumption though. MASSIVE protests should've been happening long before now. THAT'S how we "got" Trump, if Americans can be that honest. I'm sure Germans who hated Hitler wished they'd done a lot more after the fact, too.

This is me being part of the change — it’s happening now When even msnbc is behind it, that’s clear. Sucks though that Schumer prevailed. It has to have consequences. He’s not on democracy’s side over the $ that backs him imo.

I guess we'll see what Americans can muster. I'm not holding my breath. Sorry, they've had chance after chance, long before fascists started taking a hammer to govt, to "be part of the change" and where are things now? I'll believe it when I see entitled Americans flooding the streets day after day.

Americans are the only people I know of *in the world* who actually think phone calls, emails, petitions and SM posts are enough to turn tides when fascism is literally ALREADY IN OUR HOUSE.

What do you think will change the tide? America isn’t for this! By more than a significant majority.

Massive, sustained protests nationwide - that should've been happening long ago. Massive *mobilization* in an all hands on deck style non-voter outreach. Liberal pols out in their districts holding townhalls as if it's an election yr every yr until they're soundly BEATEN. ZERO uncontested races.

That’s what indivisible is up to — isn’t it?

Voter participation in primaries is key.

Voting locally in every single election is key. The GOP has TOTAL control of nearly ½ the country & OFTEN they win uncontested or by literally a handful of votes. Because of the amount of control they have in those states, it's that much harder to even GET a lib elected, primary or no primary vote.

I don't know what that is, but I haven't seen any large-scale protests anywhere. Even 1 or 2k people isn't enough "now". Americans have been mostly sitting on their butts, not mobilizing, not getting involved locally, not running for office, not engaging in local meetings. Not even close to enough.

Ahhh! You’re not American? Sorry, then. It’s likely not being covered well by your media, but when MSNBC gets on board—that’s notable—check out Hayes & Maddow Abundance, new book Chris is talking about with Ezra is very interesting. My 2 cents progressive4kindness.blogspot.com/2025/03/if-y...

I am American, I just live abroad a good part of the yr & don't watch US media, even when I'm home. I pay attention to other countries more than probably the majority of Americans, but, like them, didn't as well when I only lived there. I compare their apathy to what I see in the rest of the world.

I have a child who lives there & all of my family. They're going to live more of the time w/ what is being done, now & in the future, than I will. I pay atten to US politics more than I probably should, but in spite of her flaws, I love my country. What's happening is also on the people, it just is.
