I would just like to be on someone's "I like to see this person on holidays sometimes" list instead of every holiday day and weekend just meaning I'm gonna be by myself while everyone else hangs out with their *real* friends/family/cuties just very boring, I'm really starting to dislike holidays

I can guarantee you that all those family holiday hangouts aren't always as fun as you think they are. You need to cultivate a group of friends that want to spend those days together.

I'm sorry that's been so challenging for you. I was fortunate to find a large group of single friends who did stuff like that together. Some would take off with their family, but many lived far away from them so hung out together. Many hugs to you. I'd invite you over for a BBQ if we lived closer.
my social life for much of my life has been a repeat lesson that I am considered a medium importance relationship to a lot of people (yay), and a high importance relationship to ... well, I have one friend in another city that would slap my wrist for saying zero so it's at least not zero but--
-- the number does not seem to be as high as many other people (not yay) it has been nice to be someone for whom it's easy to make lots of medium-circle kinda friends at least I guess, I am grateful for that but I would like more real inner-circle type relationships. 😮💨
Lots of mediums is the hard part. Bound to be a couple future inners among them. 🙂
In similar situation? I enjoy cooking /spending time with my #funwithcars friends but.. I know that I’m an afterthought with.. all of them? It all feels very one-sided? I try to enjoy it for what it is and not fret over what it isn’t? At some point, will find someone/people where it’s less 1-sided?
Sorry, you deserve something more hopeful than that? I guess what I mean is that we’re all out here, all looking for the same connections, reciprocal relationships? So, sooner or later, we’ll probably find someone..
