A whole different take on the past, programs like the "Ten Pound Poms" which encouraged British people to immigrate to Australia and, historically, there have been similar initiatives to attract British citizens to other countries.

We shipped kids out to the colonies en masse for over 100 years. And looked the other way when we knew they were being abused. Why would we think sending people "not like us" to somewhere they'd be harmed is bad?
