This political infighting can seem like inside baseball that only matters to folks like me who were at the Capitol at 2 a.m. But no state budget will affect schools and other state services like the Division of Developmental Disabilities.

Schools already have a shortfall. This budget has money to cover that, so they can get their full funding for June. School starts for some AZ districts next month. And we already know that the state’s disability services can’t pay providers or group homes if DDD is out of money.
