You easily can! High Grade (HG) Gunpla kits are inexpensive and very easy to put together, no glue or special tools required! You can fall down a deep, deep rabbit hole of nippers/sanding/painting and customizing but at its core anyone can pickup and put together these kits.

Oh I know about these. I did the original Gundam one of these and thought I got this then I got a Char one and snapped a joint twice for two different models which sucked. I agree if I tried again I am sure I could do better. Those models just look so cool
