I'm curious with almost this political talk and "lessor of two evils" being the talking point. Has a viable new party not been created because a) it costs a whole lot of money to do b) capitalism/people suffering is okay cuz it only affects some ppl c) people are masochist

Thank you because if ppl say "I won't vote for xyz" ppl tell them to find a better candidate or build a new party and then both sides angrily yell at each other and nothing changes or gets done
True, and I want to make sure I’m clear on this: I also believe the people who say “I won’t vote for xyz,” as adults, have a responsibility to themselves to decide what they WILL do. That IS either finding a better candidate or building a new party unless they’re really about a more extreme life.
If they get mad that somebody said “find another candidate,” that’s on them because that is exactly how it works. My point is I try to encourage people to know it’s their place to do so.
I think the problem with the "find your own candidate" thing is....money and those that have it are corrupt and those who have not aren't getting anywhere near a seat at the table
I hear you; there have been plenty of “good” elected officials (even if they’ve often been outnumbered). Carter/Abrams/Chisholm + plenty lesser known. A lot of people are followers, & it makes sense that money would corrupt them. True leaders exist, and it’s alright to support them with your money.
