Good tip. I always have a fishing license tucked in my daypack next to my .45 for the same reason. You never know when you are going to run into a berserk salmon.

That's good advice, those salmon can get a bit rowdy in the boat. It especially useful if you're fishing for sturgeon.

I thought the sturgeon were the fishing guide you got to take home. Tucker it out pulling your boat around, and take it home for a meal. π
