Odds that kids would have to text ‘love you, bye’ while someone with an AR-15 rampaged through their school weren’t zero in 2003, but they were a lot lower than they are now. I guess the ones locked down in the computer lab could email their loved ones and/or 911, though?

My 10 year old had his first Active Shooter drill at school. It was a mind f*ck for him. He has his phone in school but they are strict about usage. We live in a new shitty world, we want him to have his phone

Yes it would help if the parents would have been notified beforehand. May she and all our young ones have a safe rest of the year in school. 🖤

(Not that calling 911 has historically helped - some of the Uvalde kids apparently tried, and we saw how that went.)
