How many times have the 155th NIB and the 76th VDV been destroyed? And how many more times will they be destroyed again?
The 155th, I believe, was destroyed at least 6 times, including no less than 3 times at Vuhledar, and the last time recently in its Kursk-Sumy offensive (where most of its officers were wiped out due to a HIMARS strike). As for the future, absolutely no idea...
Cant be too much fun being 7th generation of 155th fodder, knowing the average lifespan of a generation is about 5 months. Pure death sentence. My favourite generation was the 2nd - young and promising moscals, rushed in with no training after the originals were wiped. They lasted a few days.

I guess one interesting thing is the untrained brain. You keep hearing the same unit over and over again, and assume they're just veterans by now winning the same fight because they're still around. I wonder if there's a propaganda angle.

Not new, during past month they took troops on other fronts to send them on Podkrovsk. They lack of new troops.
in one hand it makes sense, it's their last axe of progression... in other hand it's not the best place to attack, ukr has sent troop to push back and cut their axe of progression...
But ukraine was unanle to push russian troops back completely so russia has formed some platzdarm.
last news is that russ are encircled with 0 military capacity. in the recent past russ could override ukr positions more or less only when ukr did troop replacements so it doesn't seem a good idea to try to breakthrough in a place where ukr is concentrating good units bsky.app/profile/geop...

I can't imagine what it is like for Ukrainian soldiers facing 10s of thousands of Russians and North Koreans lining up to die in an attack on you. These Ukrainians are beyond heroic.
Russians have clearly given up on Kherson and Sumy. So, if Ukraine beats back a September push in Pokrovsk region, we can be certain that Pokrovsk will not fall until the freezing ground sets in.
