Ukraine is ramping up production of its Bohdana howitzers, now turning out more than 30 units a month. To date, 345 wheeled and 100 towed versions have already been built domestically.

russia can only dream of these production numbers. Same with quality. russia keeps refurbishing old guns, and cannot scale new howizter production. Massive bottleneck-problem. Over time this will be a bigger and bigger tactical advantage for Ukraine.

The issue for Ukraine is more about actually getting sufficient shells to fire from them. They could triple their output but it wouldn’t matter much until they can reliably source ammunition for a campaign.

True, but it’s much worse to have russia problem. Oversupply of shells and lack of launchers.

Sadly, I think it will be some time before Ukraine can sustain even localized fire superiority for more than a few days. Hope I’m wrong.
