Idky, but I can have a pita sandwich at a restaurant and it's wonderful, but if I buy pita at the grocery and try to make my own sandwich, it ends up falling apart and I have to eat everything with a damn fork.

My theory is that almost any bread wrapped in plastic a couple days deteriorates. I’ve had decent luck reviving grocery store pita a bit by patting a bit of water on both sides and then giving each side a little time on a grill or frying pan/griddle. But freshness matters.
