i hate to have to say it but to clarify point 3 the 1951 refugee convention was specifically created after the nazis tried to kill all the jews.

Throughout the World at One Reform Broadcast the 1951 Convention was studiously ignored by its spokesperson, they verbally waved their hands about internal laws. I have a feeling they've figured out it's hard to leave/disavow the Convention.

and various countries REFUSED to take them causing a fucking massive refugee crisis. we all came together and went like "oh man this is bad maybe it shouldn't happen again."
