I will not share anything from NYT in a future. Even if it’s a good article. Which would suddenly appear as they keep sliding down in viewership and sponsorship. This one is a decade late anyways.
Citizens United changed it all
Kind of like the Duma in the 1990s
They haven’t had a party platform since Orange Foolius has been their leader. It was a matter of time before maga trailer trash ran congress and think their job is to do his bidding. The democrats really need forgo any cooperation or normality with them. They are a fascist party not to be engaged.
Legislating? Please. These assclowns are into full-blown fuckery, don’t care who gets hurt as long as their stock portfolio isn’t affected. Stop sugarcoating cruelty.
Then the GOP must be held accountable. They are elected by the people. How long do we keep saying how awful. This is and start fighting hard for our democracy? We need more independent press.
God, grow up. We are in authoritarian hell.
Eh? not just "political points"! This wretched Congress is passing LAWS that will destroy our country and constitution.
WHEN WAS A REPUBLICAN LEGISLATURE LAST IN THE BUSINESS OF THOUGHTFUL LEGISLATING? Oh never mind. The only innovation is the openness of their fascism, sexism, racism, and hegemonic Christianity. Mother of mercy may each of their spleens explode.
the Republican party is no longer in the business of thoughtful legislating. not “Congress”. stop with the “both sides!!!” bs.
🥵
Corruption
Did he sign the Big Billionaire Bonus yet?
Not "we."
Democrats must become a party of policies that any future presidential candidate will embrace and fulfill, rather than a winning candidate imposing his/her personal policies on the whole party. Dem voters need an opportunity to vote on party policies BEFORE the primaries, without the DNC's approval.
Buck is a partisan hack and GOP apologist
Exactly and at the expense of the country.

Does this suggest that the party system is bad? Because I’m starting to think it is. If people didn’t have the imaginary D vs R 💩 score to worry about, perhaps Congress could just truly focus on their job — which is supporting their constituents.
We need a parliamentary system.
I’m not sure that’s superior. What if we simply don’t have the same parties for Congress as the President? With them being the same, it risks corrupting the independence of the 3 branches of government. The president has weaponized the party system because Congress is threatened with a primary.
Interesting thought. I'll mull this over.
Does this article cite a nazi as an anonymous source as well?
Any legislative body that has boebert, mtg, Jim Jordan, et al as members is not a thoughtful anything. These are professional trolls who could not hold down ANY other gainful employment . Nobody would hire them for anything , but Republican voters thought they should lead us
Hey hey hey, gym Jordan was some kind of wrestling coach who let students be sexually abused.
Can you imagine having someone like Jim in your workplace? How fucking irritating it would be? How utterly incompetent he would be? But almost half the country thinks he should have power .
*Buck* typo
No shit, Sherlock.
Political points? This is how Buc frames what this administration is doing to the country? The banality of evil — a perfect example.
