I care if music sucks or is good. And the fact that AI can make extremely average music that sucks is not very impressive to me. Anyone can do that. I don’t care about participation trophy music. The reason I listen to music is to hear something unique, special, real, and emotional
So when some people are impressed bc they think AI generated music sounds like generic pop music, I roll my eyes. That music also sucks. I think in the hands of the right artist, AI tools are fine, why not. But consistently great all AI generated music isn’t happening any time soon
