Alright for fun, lemma rate Kory’s major looks! Original Perez design. 8/10 Is it dated? Yeah. Is it blatantly designed for sex appeal. Look at her. However. I like that there’s still texture and the more intricate details. Honestly just put fabric in the middle and you’re golden.

Perez and Barretto’s work on the titles do a lot to help sell this costume. Kory just looks so happy and alive all the time under their pen. Plus…the men dress like this on Tamaran too so they’re equal at least XD
This thing. 2/10 This is what Mirage wore disguised as her. It’s boring AND bad and it’s in a storyline I hate.
1999 7.5/10 This costume is so so so close. As far as more modest attempts for Star I actually enjoy this. Its problem is the colors. There’s too much purple. It needs some extra colors to help it feel finished.
Like this is just what Starfire should look like. (Yes the weird pants should also be thigh highs)
2000’s/Pre-52 7/10 A return to form with a simplified Perez look. It mostly works? Again needs to be more than purple with a splash of red but I digress. Looks good still even if they started straightening her hair but there’s no way that would ever stick right? Right?
2003 7/10 It’s the one most of you know. And I get it. It’s a show for younger audiences so the changes make sense. And the hair was for the sake of easier animation so I can excuse it. Still wish they found a way to make it work. Stop drawing this version here please. I love her but still. No.
What’s next-OH NO New 52. 1/10 What do I like about this look? Um. I like the addition of white in the costume. That’s it. Kory was always sexy yeah. But it felt tasteful and she rarely felt objectified. This is just insulting. What makes it worse is her way writing. Screw Scott Lobdell.
2015 3/10 Ok so admittedly I understand why this costume is the way it is. They wanted to rebuild this character after Outlaws made her infamous. This is an overcorrection. All elements of the previous costumes are lost for what looks like an odd swimsuit. It’s just. Boring. Series also sucks.
And it should be said but I hate how we can’t get the curly hair in any modern incarnations ever anymore. We get them in flashbacks and that’s it. And I’m not even gonna get into how her more unique features are erased so she looks like some white girl with a tan. Miss me with that.
Rebirth. 6/10 I do like this a lot. It does its own thing while still feeling like a costume Starfire would wear. However ever since it was pointed out to me it looks like a She-Hulk costume I can’t look at the same way anymore. Spikey punk hair goes hard if we gotta keep it straight.
